About ComoSelect

ComoSelect is a free photo selection tool that makes it simple for photographers to share proof galleries with clients, collect their selections, and deliver the final edited images — all in one place.

Why we built this

Photo delivery is one of those problems that seems solved until you actually try to do it at any volume. Email attachments fall apart above a handful of images. WeTransfer links expire. Google Drive wasn't designed for photo review. Paid gallery platforms are fine, but paying a monthly subscription before you know if the workflow even fits your studio shouldn't be required.

The core problem is simple: photographers need a way to show clients a set of proof images, get their selections back clearly and quickly, and then deliver the finals. This is a solved workflow — it just wasn't available for free, without a subscription, without clients needing to create accounts.

ComoSelect was built to fill that gap. It's designed for professional photographers who do portrait work, weddings, family sessions, commercial shoots, or anything else where clients are involved in choosing which photos get fully edited and delivered.

What ComoSelect does

The workflow is straightforward:

1. Create a project and upload your proof photos — lightly culled selects, not necessarily fully edited.
2. Share a link with your client. They can open it on any device without creating an account.
3. Clients browse and select — they approve photos they love, mark maybes, add notes, and star their absolute favorites.
4. You get notified when they complete their selection, and you can see exactly what they picked.
5. Upload finals — fully edited versions of the approved photos. Clients download directly from the same gallery.

Every feature is built around making this five-step process as frictionless as possible for both the photographer and the client.

Built in Italy, used worldwide

ComoSelect is an independent project built and maintained by a small team based in northern Italy. We're not a VC-backed startup chasing growth metrics — we're building a tool we'd want to use ourselves, and trying to make it genuinely good.

The name comes from Lake Como, one of the most photographed places in Italy — a fitting home for a photography tool.

Technical foundation

ComoSelect runs on Cloudflare's global network for fast load times worldwide. Photos are stored on Cloudflare R2 with no geographic restriction. Authentication uses Google OAuth via Supabase. The application is designed to be fast, reliable, and accessible from any device or connection speed.

We take data privacy seriously. Photos uploaded to ComoSelect are only accessible to the photographer who uploaded them and the clients they explicitly share a link with. We don't use uploaded photos for any commercial purpose.
